Peel and deseed the tomatoes. Keep the seeds in a separate bowl.
Cut the tomatoes into small cubes.
Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes as well.
Finely chop the spring onion or chives.
Mix the three ingredients.
Then strain the seeds. Mix the liquid from the seeds into the tomato salad. You can discard the seeds once all the liquid is out.
Season with salt and pepper.
Finally, refine with olive oil and serve.
The salad goes well as a side dish with meat or as an appetizer.
