Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F) fan-assisted.
Scrub the potatoes clean and dry them.
Poke each potato 6–8 times with a fork.
Rub the potatoes with a thin layer of olive oil and sprinkle them with salt.
Bake the potatoes directly on the oven rack (with a tray underneath to catch any drips) for 50–60 minutes.
The potatoes are ready when a knife slides in easily.
