Grab a pot big enough to comfortably fit the Weisswurst.
Fill it with enough water so the sausages will be completely covered later.
Add a pinch of salt to the water.
Slowly heat the water on the stove. Make sure the water doesn't boil, but only simmers (approx. 70-80°C).
Carefully place the Weisswurst into the hot, non-boiling water.
Let the sausages steep in the hot water for about 10-15 minutes until they are well warmed through. They must not boil under any circumstances, as the skin could burst and they would lose flavor.
Carefully remove the Weisswurst from the water and ideally serve them directly in the pot with some of the warm water to keep them warm.
Serve with fresh sea salt rolls and sweet mustard.
Traditionally, Weisswurst is eaten before 12 PM. Enjoy your meal!
Enjoy this super delicious Bavarian Weisswurst Breakfast. A real treat for a cozy morning.
