Cut the bread vertically and horizontally to create approx. 2 cm cubes.

Place the cheese slices in the resulting gaps.
Cut the herbs into small pieces and chop the garlic very finely.
Mix the oil with the herbs and the garlic.
Drizzle the mixture evenly over the cheese.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (top and bottom heat).
Bake the bread for 20 minutes until the cheese has melted nicely.
Make sure the bread doesn't get too dark. If necessary, cover it with aluminum foil in the last few minutes.
